Reading List 2011/114

I Have Lived 1,000 Years:  A true life recount of life at Auchwitz told from the voice of a 13 year old Jewish girl.  This was a good, quick read.  I handed it off to Ethan and he enjoyd it as well.  This has led to many discussions on sympathy, compassion, and looking out for others. (1/11)

Rise Again: A Zombie Thriller:  Yes, I know, I spend too much of my free reading on zombies.  But zombies novels are both equally perdictable and scary.  Sometimes, a tired brain needs predictablity. (1/11)

LZR-1143:  Infection:  Yes, you know what they are infected with, right?  Zombie virus.  This one’s pretty good.  I wish these people in this book would have read World War Z to get some tips on how to AVOID zombies.  I think this book was written strictly for Kindle, so it’s possible that the author tried to put as much action into the story as possible to make sure his story sold.  I’m almost done with it, and I’m enjoying it. (2/11)

The Thirteenth Tale: WHAT?  Not a zombie novel?  Yes my friends, this is correct.  The librarian at the Academy gave this to me, telling me it was the best book she had ever read.  Coming from a librarian, that’s pretty high praise.  It took me a while to actually begin reading it, but once I did, the story gripped me and I could hardly put it down.  It even had a satisfactory ending.

Full Dark, No Stars:  Collection of short stories that showcase regular people in difficult situtations.  Sort of a “what would you do” type of situtations.
